Hello All!
Thank you for visiting my Blog!
I'm fairly new to this, so please bare with me.
So I would like to introduce myself, my name is Ashley, and I live in the lovely state of New Hampshire in New England. I live with my Fiance, our goofy pooch, and our fuzzy little exotic pets that include Sugar Gliders and a Hedgehog in our in-law apartment of his parent's home. I've grown up with two sisters 10 and 11 years my senior, who I will always love and cherish for the rest of my life. My parents got divorced when I was 9, so things for a while got rough and with the help of the things that I enjoyed everything seemed to get a little bit easier with time, but now that things have settled, everyone is at peace and I couldn't be happier.
My life is full of laughs, love, and a whole bunch of quirkiness! My fiance and I have been together for 5 years now, engaged for 2, and I knew right from the beginning that he was the love of my life. We both work part time (it honestly feels like full time though), so we don't always have a lot of time to spend with each other, but we always pull through! We've been through thick and thin together, with a few tiffs here and there, but nothing too major. We always work it out in the end with hugs, kisses and stuff of the like. We both enjoy a love for tattoos and in the near future, we'll be getting more! And I have to say, I'm glad that my fiance can put up with my constant ever changing hair color.
I've grown up with a burning love for anime and manga. Two of my childhood anime that will continue to be my favorites are Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura. Watching them always got me through my day when times with school, friends, or family got hard to deal with. It was my dream to be able to go to Japan, the heart of anime and all things kawaii! Luckily for me, my dream came true in 2009 when I got the chance to to Japan for two weeks with People To People Student Ambassador Program (PTP for short). I had to get recommendations first from a few people before I could start earning the money to go, which was pretty expensive. One the recommendations came from my middle school art teacher, Mr. LaLime. He was, and still is, my idol in school when I was starting out with drawing anime. My mother would have helped since she's an artist too, but anime wasn't her forte. She did however help with my hands and legs when it came to proportions for my people that I drew. But since I was at school more often, Mr. LaLime was available to help and give advice. I loved being in his class in middle school and I would love to go back to it again if I could (even though some things seemed a little tedious). But now I spend my days in my free time drawing anime on a better scale and making Wishing Bottle necklaces for people who want one. I love to cook and bake, and if I could as my ideal job, I would have my own bakery!
This is why I'm here:
In my attempt to figure out what I wanted to do a blog on, I had a little difficulty. At first I wanted to do one about every day life, fashion, nail, polish, etc. But then After writing my introductory for one to start, I then lost all interest in wanting to do a blog about all that stuff that seems to be on everyone's blogs.
So with that I took a little time in thinking what I wanted to do, in the mean time I was having fun opening up my Julep Maven monthly subscription boxes...then it hit me! Why don't I do a blog about unboxing monthly subscription boxes? I thought that it might be crazy, but I wanted to do it. But first I needed to do a little research. After a few weeks of watching unboxings on YouTube from multiple channels, I figured it would be time to start asking some questions. I turned to Erin at Subscriptionboxmom12. She was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions that I had. I still can't thank her enough. I can feel it that in the very near future that everything will be great and I can not wait to work with some of these companies who provide monthly boxes. For now I'll just start with my Julep Maven Box once it arrives! I hope that I will gain lots of readers and hopefully new friendships along the way, and I hope that my reviews will provide readers with the information that they need to make a decision on what kinds of monthly boxes to subscribe to!
Wish me luck!
